by Sharon Hassler, President, Go Get Experts
Even with these slower times, we hope you have many reasons to give thanks this Thursday and enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
FORUM POSTING WINNERS
Our first and second-place forum members with the most posts for Sept. 29 through Oct. 31 are Lisa Thornton with 6 posts and Claudine Osborne with 4. Lisa wins a new one-year membership at GoGetNotary, and Claudine’s current memberhip is extended for six months. All GoGetNotary members who joined the forum and posted at least one comment have their memberships extended for 3 months. Thanks for your time and thoughtful posts. Keep them coming!
We’re continuing the contest in November. GoGetNotary members and non-members are eligible to win. The forum member with the most posts for November wins one year full membership; second place wins 6 months. (Only one first place or second place award per person.) Ties will be broken by earliest date of forum membership.
GoGetNotary members, if you register in November and post at least one valid comment (”I agree” and “Yep” don’t count!), your membership will be extended 2 months. Please create a profile with your name and contact info so we know who you are and can locate your GoGetNotary.com membership info.
GOGETNOTARY EMBLEMS
We had so many requests for logos to post on your websites that we created a couple of choices, a gold emblem series and a blue emblem series. One is a View My Profile emblem that you can link to your web page and the other is to announce that you’re a Professional Member of GoGetNotary.com. Visit Download GoGetNotary Logos for more info.

MORE INDUSTRY NEWS
I just got an update from Hazzaa Kassis on memberships at United Notary Association of America. They’re currently offering free registration with certain conditions. Visit UnitedNotaries.org and select Register/Join in the left sidebar for details.
Laura Vestanen has written another book for notaries. This one covers marketing for Reverse Mortgage signings. Reverse Mortgages have some strict government regulations (don’t we wish they had been strict on sub-prime mortgages!) so you can’t just jump into this without research. You can learn more by visiting ProfessionalNotary.com and selecting Marketing Book in the left sidebar. Laura says Reverse Mortgage signings allow her to set her fees (min. $300) and she’s treated with respect by the companies that contact her. Wow! That sounds like the good old days for Notary Signing Agents.
AS ALWAYS…
Let us know if you have any suggestions for improving GoGetNotary.com. We appreciate your feedback!
