When a notary is called into a healthcare setting, it is imperative that they determine willingness and awareness. There are times when a patient has been given medication that would render them incapable of being aware of what they are signing. Sometimes identification or signatures are a problem. The irrespressible Kelly is back with an article (could have been 5 articles!) that covers a bonanza of topics which she had researched for a recent presentation. There are lots of great references and sources here and I’m betting you’ll find at least one suggestion that will get you thinking or you’ll take action on today. You’ll probably want to bookmark this article so you can visit it again.

American Association of Virtual Bankruptcy Assistants Nears Website Launch by Virginia (Vikki) Watanabe, Notary Signing Agent, Virtual Bankruptcy Assistant. The American Association of Virtual Bankruptcy Assistants website is nearing launch. The site, www.AAVBA.org, should be live soon and with it will come training, networking and many other benefits for those who have been struggling as VBAs to find work on their own or those who are interesting in learning more about this field. This article will give you the latest on the AAVBA and the new site.
