American Association of Virtual Bankruptcy Assistants Off to A Great Start
by Virginia (Vikki) Watanabe, Notary Signing Agent, Virtual Bankruptcy Assistant
The American Association of Virtual Bankruptcy Assistants (AAVBA) has gotten off to a phenomenal start. Our website went Live on Sunday, March 28, 2008, and during the first week, we began our first 2-week training session. The total for the Freshman Class of AAVBA was 23!
The majority of the trainees were new to the field of Bankruptcy. A few were previously trained VBAs who wanted a refresher to help them take their businesses to the next level. All in all, it was a great experience for everyone. Judging from the AAVBA Certificate Exam results, all trainees did very well.
The Online Training is offered as a benefit to anyone who joins the AAVBA. We take you from Introduction to the VBA profession all the way through the Preparation of the Bankruptcy Petition.
The AAVBA knows that most people who attend training must do it after work or at the end of very busy days. Because of this, the AAVBA offers two training sessions. One training session accommodates the Midwest and East Coast trainees. Another training session accommodates the West Coast and Hawaii trainees. This has worked out quite well. We have had some West Coast trainees attend the earlier session due to other commitments that might interfere with their training, so they sign up for the “early” class.
What we’re most proud is the fact that we give you real world situations, and we do not build up this business as a “get-rich-quick” career. There is a lot of work involved to be successful. We take those steps with you. We’re also proud of the fact that we have many successful VBAs (myself included) that are currently under contract with Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
Membership to AAVBA includes Business Development training. If you’re thinking about going “independent,” the Business Development training offered by AAVBA is not exclusive for the Virtual Bankruptcy Assistant. You’ll receive “real world” experience training. Our belief is this; for us to be successful, we must help you succeed first.
Wishing you overwhelming success!
