Become a Notary in Alaska: An Alaska Notary Public is commissioned by the State for a term of 4 years. Application fee is required.
Alaska Requirements:
- You must be a resident of Alaska.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must reside legally in the United States.
- Your surety bond of $1,000 must accompany the application.
- You cannot have been convicted or incarcerated for any felony in the 10-year period before your commission takes effect.
- You cannot have had a previous Notary commission revoked for notarial misconduct in the preceding 10-year period.
