How to Become A Notary Public in Arizona

Become a Notary in Arizona: Arizona Notaries Public are commissioned by commissioned by the Secretary of State for a 4-year term. An application fee is required.

Arizona Requirements:

  • You must be a resident of Arizona for tax purposes.
  • You must be a citizen or a permanent legal resident of the United States.
  • You cannot have been convicted of any felony unless your civil rights have been restored, or cannot have had a conviction of a lesser offense involving moral turpitude or of a nature that is incompatible with the duties of a notary public.
  • You may have your application refused by the Secretary of State if you have had a previous Notary commission or a professional license revoked.
  • You must purchase a 4-year Notary bond and submit it with your application.
  • After commissioning, you must obtain a rubber notary seal/stamp.
