Become a Notary in Hawaii: A Hawaii Notary Public is commissioned by the State Attorney General for a 4-year term.

Hawaii Requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • You must reside legally in Hawaii.
  • You must be a United States citizen or a permanent resident alien of the United States who diligently seeks citizenship.
  • You must take and pass a closed-book written exam.
  • After commissioning, you must obtain a notary seal or stamp with your commission number on it and maintain a notary record journal.
