National Notary Associations

National Notary Association — NNA is committed to educating and supporting Notaries throughout the United States while inspiring confidence and unity among them all. Established in 1957, NNA is largest notary association in the United States with nearly a quarter million members. It’s recognized nationally and internationally as an advocate of sound notarial practices. The association also develops technologically advanced products to advance the role of the Notary in the electronic age and evolving industries (i.e., electronic mortgages) and is on the forefront of electronic notarization and recording efforts nationwide.
American Society of Notaries — ASN offers hands-on service and technical support that make ASN members so loyal. The smaller, select membership base enables them to serve you more personally, and the experienced, commissioned notaries on staff spend hours each day researching state notary law to ensure that their technical support is the best it can be. If you’re conscientious, thorough, and driven to be your best, ASN is right for you.
United Notary Association of America (formerly the Midwest Notary Association) — Originally founded to serve Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska as the Midwest Notary Association, this organization quickly became a resource center for Notaries Public and Signing Agents nationwide and changed their name accordingly. UNAA offers three levels of membership with experience and references of Elite members verified by Association managers. Directory, forums with 4 chat rooms, and extensive libraries. UNAA training materials include a video of a signing for loan signing agents and a choice of CD or printed manual for notaries and signing agents with a loan documents package and more. Instructor Linda Kassis also offers local seminars and teleconference classes.

Pennsylvania Notary Association

Pennsylvania Association of Notaries — Pennsylvania Association of Notaries (PAN) is America’s first notary association, serving Pennsylvania notaries since 1955. Over the years, PAN has grown into a full-service notary association that provides Pennsylvania notaries with notarial equipment, education about notarial responsibilities and protection against loss. PAN is a member-based association committed to providing nearly 50,000 members with 24-hour access to experts who can answer notarial and motor vehicle questions via telephone, email or fax. PAN also serves as a lobby for Pennsylvania notaries. We seek more stringent requirements for appointees and nationwide standardization of notarial procedures and are currently working with the Secretary of the Commonwealth on eNotarization.
