Wedding Officiant

Kelly Robertson (http://www.loansigner101.com) posted an article on the GGN site about becoming a wedding officiant. I wouldn't have considered it until I read her comments. It seems like a fun thing to do if it's allowed by your state laws. What a happy way to spend an afternoon and make some extra CASH! The article is here:

When I needed to renew my passport several years ago, I had to go to the local government office in Chandler to apply. This office only handled passports and wedding licenses. The woman who assisted me said 99% of the people she helped were anticipating a wonderful vacation or wedding day. Imagine working with happy customers all the time!

Friends, this is just another way to augment your income in a very slow time (temporary, of course!) and if you really love people, you'll dig this job! Think of the difference you make in so many lives of couples in love.... whew! I still corresponde/keep in touch with many couples to date too. :)

I have been providing wedding services for years and really started marketing my wedding services last February. I average around 2-3 services per month with much higher numbers in February and June. The members of the Florida NSA Network have created a wedding officiant network for the members that are available for weddings. http://floridaweddingofficiantnetwork.com/401.html

I get most of my calls for weddings from my website http://yourverobeachwedding.com/default.aspx , from my merchant circle listing and from various wedding vendor listing sites.

If you are interested in doing weddings in states that do not allow notaries to perform weddings you must be an ordained minister. You can get ordained for free through the Universal Life Church. http://www.themonastery.org/?destination=ordination Check your state laws as some states require that you be ordained by a "brick and mortar" establishment.

I love doing weddings. I get paid well for my services and receive payment in advance. I already have three weddings booked for next June.
